So far I guess I'm the deciding vote. haha.

Either way, I wish I were you guys on your second or third TP. I'm on like my fifth. They were able to get my k/b working again last time I took it in or I'd been on my sixth. They hinted to me that I could exchange it, but the TP2 wasn't in stores yet, just online.. So that wasn't an option unless I wanted a crackberry. So I said I'd wait and I'd be back in two months. We'll, it's time. And trying to decide between the TP2 or I think it's the Hero. (anyone got comparison notes they'd like to share?)

I guess I am very lucky. I am a heavy user and have used the original TP since it came out. Because of all of your tips on this site I have it working great with tweaks to the standard ROM.

Just wanted to say thanks. Not sure when I will move on to a TP2

I too am one of the lucky ones still on my original TouchPro. Granted, I do have some of the cosmetic issues that others have had (the chipping chrome, the raised home buttons) but those don't effect the functionality. I do have issues w/ it overheating while charging it and doing anything else (phone calls, tethering, etc) but I don't do that very often anymore so it's become somewhat of a non-issue for me right now (might get on my nerves again when I start travelling again, tho... lol). Just like inmnbob, I've tweaked the heck out of this thing so that it meets my needs. I had to do that with the Mogul as well, and have a feeling I'd do the same to a TP2 or any other phone I would get, so I answered that I'd stick with the TP

I just happened to wander over to the HTC website and noticed that there is a lot of redesigning. I clicked on the support tab and noticed that most of the "older" devices are not listed anymore, such as the ATT Tilt, Sprint Mogul & Touch, in fact I couldn't even find ATT FUZE and Sprint Touch Pro. Has HTC officially dropped support for these devices?
Many of the wireless carrier websites for these phones have links to the HTC website for stock rom and other "official" updates but I continue to receive HTTP 404 error.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

Original TP, love it, never keep a ROM more than 2 weeks... Bought a craiglist one for $130 for wife in beginning of September.

Never an issue with keyboard. My Mogul only lasted 4 months, USB issue with plug in. Sure hope it breaks sometime (joke), as I'm on the "plan"... insurance that is..

I've gotta search & see what everyones saying about the tp2 vs Hero vs HD2

Re: HTC Discontinued Support for Sprint Touch Pro?

Does anyone know how to add a second poll, I think there should be a poll on how many touch pros you have had or had to have repaired.

Like I said, I am on my third but that is not including a keyboard I had to have replace.

This third one is the best one I have had,
that is not saying much since I have missed or dropped calls almost every day!

I agree with what is being said about tweaking the phone to make it work better, but this phone was so terrible you have to massively tweak it and hard reset it every two weeks just to make it work!
There is a big difference between tweaking it to make it work better, and having to tweak it to make it work!

I am on my third and I got the touch pro the day it came out, so it wont be long before this one craps out too.

no they wont, as long as they have refurs to hand out.
