VZ Navigator on cooked ROMs
OK, so there are about 500 posts on this spread out all over the place. Apparently VZ Navigator doesn't work on cooked ROMs. But then others say, "Oh, so-and-so has it working, it works for me," etc. So what's the deal? Does it work? Can it be made to work?
And before you start, yes, it costs money. It's actually quite good. It has up-to-date maps (downloaded over the air), local search, gas prices, movie times, traffic, detours around traffic, weather, turn-by-turn directions, and text-to-speech for the directions.
That said, if there's something that offers the same features (with the exception of live maps, since from what I've read none of the others do that) I'm open to alternatives. I've heard good things about CoPilot Live 8, but I remember all the stuff they were promising kept getting pushed back and not released. It's currently $25 right now, though, so that's a pretty good price and I'd go for that if it offers the same features as VZ Navigator (I don't know if it does).
