Re: TP2 4 Life...... well at least I thought....

i had a hero for a few weeks. if ran smooth with no problems. Went back to the tp2 tho, i get a few errors every now and again but this is by far the best phone out in my opinion. In the last 2 months ive had the touch, touch diamond, touch pro, palm pre, blackberry tour and the hero. Tp2 FTW!

Re: TP2 4 Life...... well at least I thought....

You can swap esn's if you are speaking swapping out phone for phone with a call or a chat online, but if you are "changing" the esn from one phone to another you are more than likely breaking the law.....but im with one of the earlier posters, I'll go android as soon as HTC comes out with a droid with a qwerty slider....then and only then might I give android a try...The touch keyboards just do not work for me as I spend most of my time hitting the back arrow to get the actual letter I was trying to type the first time.....The hero seems to be more of a Im cooler than you toy compared to the TP2 which is more of a I know my phone ownes the world type of phone...lol....of course thats just my opinion....

LOL, I was thinking the exact same thing as I was reading that post.

My brother-in-law just bought a Droid & I played with it for a few hours last night at a family get together. That phone just doesn't really do anything for me & I'm not even sure exactly why.

I know every time I use my TP2 running Juicy's awesome ROM, I just love the thing & never want to put it down. The Droid did not give me that feeling at all.

Part of it is, the thing is so butt-ugly (it looks like it's 10 years old) that right from the get go it doesn't really excite me. Then I look at the mediocre KB (compared to the TP2) & that's a let down.

We where trying to do google searches & the browser seemed very slow for some reason & froze up a couple times but that may or may not have been the phones fault.

I use SlingMobile & Sirius on my phone daily & I don't think that stuff works in the Droid at this time although I may well be wrong about that.

When I first saw that he was using the Droid, I figured just great -I'm going to play with it & then want to buy one. That was not the case at all however. When I was done playing with it, I handed it back & now I have no desire whatever to own one (which is a big relief)

He only has one available at the time for the TP2.

I am running R3, although there is an R4 available now.

I actually still have my TP2 (for now at least, about to sell it on ebay... maybe...) so I still play around with WIMMO. Yes I do agree with you the Chef's here at PPCGeeks are the best!!! Hopefully at least one of them will wonder over to the Android side (Dark Side!!!).....

Re: TP2 4 Life...... well at least I thought....

Lets face it Android is nothing more than a fancy SPB Mobile Shell phone. Just put MS on your phone see how long it takes you to get board with it...All without leaving TP2. It is the same same!!!

Yep I have already checked out the Droid (official name is "Sholes").

I actually like it a lot but I refuse to pay for Verizon's expensive service. I'll stick with Sprint for now. Thanks though.
