maybe thats it. next time I will only buy directly from the dealer like sandisk.com or official retailers. this is a lesson to be learned. but i'm still scared to buy another class 2.

i know what you mean and that's why i asked. i bought a 4gb and a 8gb from the net last year and both worked great for about 30 days and then got corrupted. i bought an 8gb and 16gb from best buy and haven't had any problems (knock on wood!), so i won't buy any off the net again!

in all fairness mine works but windows media player takes forever to change the song once i have over 4gb of music on it. you have a 16gb class 2 with 8gb of music or more and windows media player changes songs as if there are only 4 songs on your memory card?

Re: 16 GB Micro SD review thread.

i've got 1003 songs on the 16gb and quite honestly, no lag at all. and the 16gb came out of the tp. my biggest worry was the corruption because we know what a pita to re-format and transfer all that info again. i'm not saying sd is the best, but i really think it does matter where they come from.

well i guess i can't go wrong buying it from best buy because i can always return it. To the op the only reason i wouldn't recommend class 2 is because of the lag when changing songs, but if dr8820 is correct and it maybe where i bought it from the i don't want to bad talk class 2 cards.

this is the only reason i buy them from there. you might get a class 4 or 6 16gb card for cheap, but if it goes bad, some of these on-line sellers are a pain about returns lol!

Re: 16 GB Micro SD review thread.

Check out the Frys link on my post on page 2. Its $36.99 after rebate, you can return it with no restocking fee within 15 days, and its a class 4 and from PNY not Sandisk. I have used over 8G on it and it still runs great. Best Buy will charge you a restocking fee if opened and returned. All stores sept Frys that I know of does.
