Re: High Discharge poor battery life

Are you saying the power icon and the backlight tab? When I do that, I don't see anything that infers the discharge rate. I'm on stock rom...is that the difference?

Re: High Discharge poor battery life

I noticed this same problem earlier today, battery life was draining faster than expected. discharge was around 255. Turns out the problem was that after some internet browsing my memory usage had jumped way up (around 78%) from its usual (around 45%) and battery was draining quicker than normal. Ive performed the registry edit that keeps opera from being excluded in the task manager, which is supposed to make it shut down completely when you finish browsing, but obviously it did not shut down. After a soft reset im now back to less than 100 discharge rate.

Also, in response to dragons post about shutxp, s2u2, and palringo being battery killers for him. I run all 3 and get exceptional battery life (with the exception of the memory issue this morning). Im on the latest mighty rom.

Re: High Discharge poor battery life

I was usually seeing a 70 discharge rate when nothing was running. THEN I added Outlook (tmail.exe) to the exclusive list to keep the phantom email screen from coming up. After that, I started seeing it top out around 340-ish with Outlook running in the background. Huge difference.

I ultimately decided to take my chances with the phantom email screen, as opposed to sacrificing battery life.

Re: High Discharge poor battery life

I had discharge rates of 170-190 with nothing running, while I had nueRom's battery driver for TP2 installed. (The one lets you see 1% increments.) Soon as I removed it, idle drain dropped to 50-70.
