vito SMS-Chat & new 6.5 ROM's?? - Page 2

Yes but I am not using MMS. I am on R5.7, followed these steps to disable HTC messaging by following these steps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=556614

I never did get HTC messaging to go to standard WM messaging. I was so frustrated I just installed SMS chat, works fine.

I'll have to try that, I have the laggy HTC app disabled but I don't think I ever tried SMS-Chat after disabling the HTC app.

Thanks bro, I LOVE SMS-Chat & I had pretty much figured it just didn't work with manila 2.5.

Now I can use that for SMS & arcsoft for MMS, this is awesome......

i have it working well
all i did was disable manila messaging and then disable manila touchflo and vito sms worked

followed the link to sms chat, it looks plain and the deful on the tp2 looks better. im on might rom on 6.5.. anyone have any screenshots of how it looks on the tp2 I WOULD reallly apppreciate it cause most seem to find it very useful!

The screen shots dont do this app justice honestly. It crisp looking, the kenetic scrolling is top notch and there is almost no lag what so ever. If your on the fence about buying it I would get it no doubt.

The second screen is how I use SMS-Chat 99% of the time. I can type INSANELY fast using TouchPal & T+ (much faster than ANYBODY can with a hardware KB). SMS-Chat is super fast & totally lag free & over the years has always been one of the very first apps I install after a new flash.

wow that looks great.. and from what i been hearing its something deff worth getting. so how does it work.. can you make it your defult sms.. so when u goto sms tab thats there instead of the stock ugly and unresponsive one. and is it a program that you run in background so will it such battery? just trying to get info before i get it. but i deff think i will!

Not really, I have disabled HTC Messenger. You can set it up so that you get onscreen notifications. So when someone text you a box pops up with the message, you hit x to dismiss (sms notification goes way then) or hit reply which brings you right into the app. I have it on my home screen as an icon as well have it programmed to one of my hardware keys. I think the notification for SMS is the best part, it integrates perfect.
