Re: No Bluetooth PAN tethering?
I teather everyday with bluetooth I go into the comm manager click on bluetooth select my computer then select bluetooth networking then select Internet Sharing Presto I connect to the internet. This is way better than Wifi sharing since that really doesn't work very well and disconnects all the time plus drain the shit out of your battery.
ICS use to have the option of BT Pan don't know why someone got the itch to remove this setting I wish they would put it back it would save a bunch of clicks. I just created a short cut to comm manager on the cookie bar its the only way I now how to connect easily to the internet. This is very quick to faster than USB takes about 30 40 to connect BT 10-15 secs to connect very reliable. I use a USB dock for power only not connected to the laptop I want to avoid destorying my usb ports since I connect about 20 times a day don't want to put a lot of stress on usb they will break. |

Re: No Bluetooth PAN tethering?
I don't have a problem connecting PAN via blue tooth after going through and changing registry values. All I do is go into the BT network manager and select share internet connection, done. Connection speeds are at 1.0Mbps and download speeds max out at 110kbps.
Go to HKLM\Comm\InternetSharing\Settings\ and change ForceCellConnection to Sprint, but if you don't disable guardian it reverts back to PhoneAsModem when you soft reset, and like others have stated, make sure you have an active data connection.
