I think it's 1 minute after the phone goes to sleep. Which is great. But I bumped it to 2 minutes.

Will e-mail still download automatically after I install this, or will I have to tell it to send/receive?

outlook will establish a connection and 1 minute after it's done sending/receiving, it'll disconnect

It solves the the Hangup issues.

But I noticed the Brain Dead HTC weather didn't update. I suspect it may be 60 seconds is too short so I bumped it 120 seconds.
This tweak is definitely an improvement but the brain dead HTC Weather update sort of breaks a lot of it's advantage. It can't update weather when the phone a asleep. So as soon as I turn the phone on to make a call it makes a connection to update weather. I make my call and then have the hang up issue and #777 pop up. Did I say HTC weather was brain dead.

If you shut HTC weather update off. It works great. And Apps that know how to make a connection while asleep work fine (e.g. Pocket Weather).

Has anyone done a rigorous analysis of how much battery is drained by a persistent connection (e.g. activesync)?

I'm trying it out now to see how much power it saves.

I'll let you know what I find.

Re: #777 undoing the data disconnect hack :/

Ok, I installed it and checked out the battery life.

I had automatic weather update running and e-mail updating every 5 minutes. I saw an extra 2 hours out of my phone with it installed.

Today I am testing it out with e-mail updating every 15 minutes and weather not updating automatically.
