Well there are also updated, official Rhodium drivers that us chefs can use. Right now, most are using the USC test rom's drivers which get the job done, but it would be nice to have the final version instead for 6.5.

i'm not certain how accurate that is. we've only used the leaks. the real version would make cooked roms much better.

The leaks stopped being used long ago. 6.5 has been out for quite some time now. Just because it's not from a CDMA Touch Pro2 doesn't make it a "leak"

I believe it has more to do with having updated CDMA TP2 6.5 drivers with this new rom. We get the updated drivers all CDMA TP2's benefit from added performance. (Nothing mind blowing but maybe similar to when the 6.5 NK came out)

I emailed HTC to see if they can provide me with the shipped us cellular rom... its worth a shot i guess.

6.5 is outdated already, i am using 6.5.1 (23506) with 6.1 drivers for last two weeks, i have not found any problems so far and i have tried going back to 6.5 but i cant stand 6.5 anymore.

In 23506, do you have the problem where in text messages, after sliding the keyboard out and back in, the screen doesn't change back to portrait mode?

Edit - I can also never remember, are changes in 235xx branches ported back to 230xx branch, or vice versa?

You are right about that, 23506 has that problem.
But that does not bother me becuase that does not affect the stability of the rom.

I overheard the salesman telling a customer that the TP2 was the "top of the line, even over the blackberry" ... It was a good moment.
