Re: Verizon HTC Touch Pro 2 battery
Any battery that fits inside the stock cover is not going to increase your battery life much, if any (I don't care what it's rated at)
I have tried "higher capacity" batteries that fit in the stock location in the past & will not waste my money on them anymore. If it was possible to jam a lot higher capacity into a stock battery, HTC would have already done it (it would be a great selling feature) ~John |

Re: Verizon HTC Touch Pro 2 battery
The 2000mAh fits the stock cover?? Thats the first I've heard of that. A 500mAh increase isn't bad if I can keep my stock look.

Re: Verizon HTC Touch Pro 2 battery
Incoming car analogy! Danger Close!
Ok, mAh isn't the only thing that matters in a battery, just like horsepower isn't the only thing that matters in a car. A car can have 300 horsepower but be slower than a car with 260 horsepower, depending on other factors such as torque, drivetrain, weight, etc. A battery can have a higher mAh rating, but its internal resistance can be absolute crap, so it doesn't actually hold the charge for any thing. In the end, as it was stated before, if the oem could have fit more juice into the battery without compromising cost or performance, they probably would. Don't buy the 6 dollar extended batteries that fit in the same door on ebay. They are junk. |

Re: Verizon HTC Touch Pro 2 battery
Check this battery out by Seidio. I got it when I ordered their Innocase and screen protector (both of which I really like).
I'd say that it does last longer than the stock battery by a noticeable amount, but not so much that I was incredibly impressed. I can definitely make it through the day with a few bars left to spare after being used fairly heavily (bluetooth on, wifi off usually). With the stock battery, I usually had to plug it in before the end of my night. Also, there's no new back cover needed! Plus, now I have the stock battery as a spare if I need it. http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/basi17htp2.htm |
