Ok, mAh isn't the only thing that matters in a battery, just like horsepower isn't the only thing that matters in a car.

A car can have 300 horsepower but be slower than a car with 260 horsepower, depending on other factors such as torque, drivetrain, weight, etc.

A battery can have a higher mAh rating, but its internal resistance can be absolute crap, so it doesn't actually hold the charge for any thing. In the end, as it was stated before, if the oem could have fit more juice into the battery without compromising cost or performance, they probably would. Don't buy the 6 dollar extended batteries that fit in the same door on ebay. They are junk.
