Re: Calls Drop during Active Sync?
The reason is simple unfortunately...you can't have voice and data active at the same time. Question though, and I don't use gmail, but doesn't Exchange ActiveSync with GMail enable push e-mail? And if so, why are you checking manually i.e. every hour?

Re: Calls Drop during Active Sync?
i understand that on Sprint you cant have data and voice at the same time. I just wanted to see if there was a way to make active sync not try to sync during a call. I guess the answer to that is no unfortunately

Re: Calls Drop during Active Sync?
But my point is, if you use push and not a scheduled send/receive, perhaps you won't have the same problem.

Re: Calls Drop during Active Sync?
I use AS for Exchange push... if I am on a call, AS fails the sync. Have not tweaked anything.

Re: Calls Drop during Active Sync?
I don't think the OP's issue can be chalked up to CDMA not allowing simultaneous data and voice. Voice is supposed to have priority over data on CDMA and data apps are supposed to observe this priority. I.e. I don't believe scheduled sync via activesync or any other app should cause dropping of voice calls; if it is something is wrong somewhere.
