I am one of those who are unsuccessful using that program. It slowed my phone to a crawl and disabled my entire keyboard. I am usually good at following simple directions. The lack of a tap and ctrl key are painful at times.

Alright guys, I'm sure the OP knew what mute meant. I think he was asking more for clarification on what the point is! If you're on the phone (not speaker) the button does nothing. If you're listening to music, the button does nothing. Its not very obvious for some people because they don't use speakerphone often. Nothing special.
And the fact that you spend 3 pages ridiculing him... seriously, what's wrong with you? He asked a question, answer it. Simple. And people ask why I'm losing faith in society....
