CorePlayer is nice (I use it too) but it does NOT give the hardware accelleration that Album & WMP do. CP works super with a stock 6.1 ROM but if you flash to a 6.5 ROM (I have used both Mighty & Juicy) then the video out is unuseable but WMP & Album work fine. I use CuCusoft Video convertor to encode my DVD movies to h.264 (mp4) files & I get absolutely perfect playback (even with video out) using WMP or Album. ~John |

Although I have a video out cable I never really used it. I will try when using WMP or HTC video player. |

Re: movies on my htc t2
Here is a freeware program called "DVD Shrink" it works like DVDfab but better!!!
Most movies are on 9GB media, DVD Shrink lets you re-author the DVD; take out Trailers, Extras, Subtitles and even compress the movie file to fit on a 4.7GB blank media. I use DVD Shrink along with HTC mp4 found over at XDA and thats it, My movies are encoded at 752x480 30fps and look great with no frame skips using WMP or Album. Here is XDA site for mp4 encoder http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=478050 and DVD Shrink |
