tweak it all you want, it still won't support hardware accelleration like Album & WMP do.

Also, running WM6.5 the video out is completely unuseable with CorePlayer etc. It works fine with WMP & Album.

I use DVD Shrink along with HTC mp4 found over at XDA and thats it, My movies are encoded at 752x480 30fps and look great with no frame skips using WMP or Album.

Here is XDA site for mp4 encoder

and DVD Shrink
Anyone else using the programs in the post above? I went through all of that for "The Outlaw Josey Wales", but I ended up with 5 mp4 files in my movie folder? Is that how it's supposed to end up? The files will play on my Tp2, and look good (haven't tried my tv-->out yet!) but I just *assumed* they'd end up as one file to ensure continuous play...do I need to stitch them together some how????

Any help is appreciated, as this is all new to me...

Re: movies on my htc t2

I have never used DVDshrink (I would NEVER shrink a movie, when I do they look like cr@p on my 60" Sony TV so I either burn to a DL DVD or copy the full movie to my 16 gig card), but what was your original source?? (IE: was it a torrent DL???)

No, I pulled it directly of my original DVD. Like I said, I have *zero* idea how to go about this...I've been reading since yesterday, and all it's done is make my brain hurt. It seems like everyone is using different software to do this, and they each say theirs is the best...LOL. I see folks saying 700mb this, codec that, output size this...blah blah blah...but I never did find a post that said "for the Tp2 you need this output setting, it will be roughly xxx MB, etc".

BTW: I've got a long road trip coming up, so I was gonna put my 16gb card to good use...

Re: movies on my htc t2

I use CuCusoft to rip from DVD (makes one big h.264/mp4 file), PM me & I'll tell you where to get it.

Classic movie by the way.....

Re: movies on my htc t2

I use the HTC Touch HD Video Converter to convert my movies for my touch pro 2 and run them on Album or WMP. No additonal set-up needed when running the converter. Its basically set up for you so all you do is click start to convert. I have a coreplayer but i had issues where the playback is not stable and constantly messing with the settings. forget messing with coreplayer because it's not meant for touch pro 2. just use album or WMP to play your movies and you will have the best experience!

ya, play back in wmp/htc looks awesome, but the htc/hd/mp4 converter spit out 5 files, and the "join mp4" option is grayed out? other than that, and the fact it takes forever to convert, it works good...lol.

yeah really lol. converting your movies using that program is slooooooow but it does the job afterwords. nothing is lost after the conversion you still get the same playback and sound quality and maybe more

Edit: do you have split files after the conversion? when i convert my movies the program seems to split the movie into 3 parts but once its converted it gives me a full single file in mp4 format.
