thing is, i can see how he made the mistake... if you go to the site and just look for touch pro2 updates, that pops up... doesn't necessarily specify GSM

well the first thing it does when you go to www.htc.com is ask you to change your local. then next once there click support it asks you to choose the device u need support for. so its not extremely easy to make this mistake, if u take the proper route to make sure ur in the correct section of support for your location.

I haven't played around with TP2 roms yet nor have I gotten google maps on my TP2 but I thought the "use gps" won't work without the "fix"?

Is that what the OP is referring to?

Sprint doesn't lock their gps. But vzw does (on diamond any way).

Google maps works out of the box with sprint tp2 as well as sprint diamond.

i went over the web sight over and over again it does not say gsm still dont have my phone they just got it yesterday stupid usps didnt knock on htcs door loud enough!!!!

in all honesty my gps worked fine on att just wanted to see if it would make it better.
