I think you might actually be referring to the Microsoft site, which lists the Touch Pro2 as being upgradeable in "October/November 2009".

Re: Any Verizon Pro2 users upgrade to 6.5????

I have both the HTC Touch Pro2 (sprint) and the HTC Imagio (verizon) and only the Imagio came out with WM 6.5...It has an ugly TF3D theme, same with the Sprint (orange? C'mon!) the slider is a solid color and with arrows (at least verizon has a blue slider, but not that pretty...) and on the Imagio I have a ghost MSG, always says 1 msg and when you go to the mail tab it's empty.

Re: Any Verizon Pro2 users upgrade to 6.5????

That's interesting, I did upgrade my rom to 6.5, now i get the same but with mail. Must be microsoft? On verizon also.

Wait for Verizon? I read on verizons forum that 2 wks ago they told one of their clients they weren't upgrading tp2. Who knows. I like the new interface and I love the ability to try these roms and pic the one that works best for me.

Microsofts website only shows verizons LG as getting an update. That bites. We paid alot of money for our phones & a new contract.

Re: Any Verizon Pro2 users upgrade to 6.5????

If I might make a suggestion. Just do the custom rom route.

1. In my opinion the 6.5.1 ROMs "Start on the Bottom" is so much easier to use that it makes up for the instability issues.

2. Manila 2.5 is very very very useful...even with the MMS issues

3. It's fun to try new ROMs...it becomes almost a hobbie.

4. you can always flash back to stock and re-lock if you have to send it back...they'll never know the difference.

Caveat : careful of #3...this hobbie becomes an obsession pretty quickly.

^^^+1

Seriously, do yourself a favor, spend a few nights reading the forums and figuring out what to do, then go for it. The benefits of custom ROMs are unbelievable. Even if Verizon or Sprint did have a 6.5 ROM, it wouldn't come close to performing as well as some of the ROMs on this forum. Plus, just like he says, it becomes alot of fun tweaking things the way you want them.

CA3SAR,

What do you see as the main difference between mightyrom and the original?

im nervous about this whole flashing thing but everything was very easy and went well. Im very happy with the speed and ease of the install. Ive also notice i can install the same task bar and customized tabs that i had prior as well. I wanted the programs tab, weather in the clock, and 6.5 with the least amount of issues and this is it. Only thing i could ask for is the cool *** clouds that go across the screen. But I just downloaded 4 files for the install and backed up using pimbackup.

Re: Any Verizon Pro2 users upgrade to 6.5????

mighty is really one of the closet to stock. ive tried it and like it, but for me i only go mighty after flashing 3 or 4 other roms and being pissed at bugs and the such. then its a calming experience. a lil better than stock, some added functionality. inner peace.
