Any Verizon Pro2 users upgrade to 6.5????
 

I see on the HTC website, that you can download Windows mobile 6.5 for the Pro2 so apparantly it'll take 6.5.

But if you look under Verizon, HTC doesn't show it. Nor is it available if you go directly to the Verizon website.

My question is has anyone upgraded to 6.5 through the HTC website and if you have, what has been your experience?

there are no cdma 6.5 updates yet. the one you see on the site is a european gsm update.

if you want 6.5, custom roms are the way to go right now

im not 100% sure but doesnt the TP2 come w/ WM 6.5??

ill receive mine today as a tp replacement from sprint

Don't know about Sprint, but with Verizon, mine came in last week and had 6.1 loaded on it.

So if someone doesn't want to go the custom rom route and have Verizon, they'd be better off just waiting?

From what I've gathered, it looks like 6.5 is basically improving the user interface. I'm not so sure that would be worth upgrading over even when it becomes available. I like what HTC has done with touch flo 3.

keep waiting and im sure it will come available eventually. according to the web (it was either htc's website or microsofts, i cant remember which) the sprint touch pro 2 is scheduled to recieve the optional 6.5 upgrade in november/december 2009. Im sure the other carriers wont be far behind.

I have both the HTC Touch Pro2 (sprint) and the HTC Imagio (verizon) and only the Imagio came out with WM 6.5...It has an ugly TF3D theme, same with the Sprint (orange? C'mon!) the slider is a solid color and with arrows (at least verizon has a blue slider, but not that pretty...) and on the Imagio I have a ghost MSG, always says 1 msg and when you go to the mail tab it's empty.
