Re: S2U2 Vs Pocketshield

Had a lot of battery issues with S2U2 in the last few versions, but the current 2.14 version has very little drain for me. I'm at 90% with very little usage today -- 8.5 hours of standby, .5 hours of "usage", no talk time.

This is off S2U2's website under FAQ (http://s2u2.ac-s2.com):
Q. S2U2 consumes a lot of power?!
A. Make sure there is no music player running in the background.
A. Use digital clock without showing the second.
A. Don't use GIF wallpapers.
A. Don't use a folder of wallpapers.
A. Turn off "Show Appointment".
A. Turn off "Show Weather".
A. Turn on "Don't use Keyboard Hook".
A. Turn on "Ignore screen orientation"
A. If any "auto-rotation" application is installed, add "S2U2" to it's exception list.
A. Disconnect the data connection.
A. Update to v2.14 or later.

Gonna try this

I'm running 6.1 stock and love the look of S2U2 but it was buggy for me. so I got PS when it was on sale for thanksgiving. I really the gesture unlock that also answers a call. works well for me but graphics could be sharper.

Re: S2U2 Vs Pocketshield

i like how pocket shield isn't easy to unlock with the finger slide unless you know what to do... its almost like phone protection from others because when you pick up my phone you can't figure out how to turn it on until i show you. it doesn't have a "slide here to unlock" - you have to know where to slide : )

Re: S2U2 Vs Pocketshield

I've been using s2u2 for more than a year now and have jumped the ship to PS. S2U2 is still bugging my omnia (slow in waking up, sometimes doesn't even wake up at all and then i have to soft reset). Hopefully PS is better. Still testing.

Re: S2U2 Vs Pocketshield

Pocketshield used to be worth it's fee. Now I consider both junk. Pocketshield freezes your phone and S2U2 still drains the battery.

I use Devicelock 1.6 now and I couldn't be happier....even though I paid for Pocketshield.

I had issues with PS sleeping my phone right after starting various applications, annoying to have to rewake up through power button and unlock twice, uninstalled and had no more troubles, anyone with similar experiences, or should i try again?

I haven't heard a whole lot (good or bad) about Pocketshield, but all I ever hear about S2U2 is bad. Poor battery life, messes up other programs, etc... I used Sensor Lock on my TP1, but now use the HTC lock.

I have been using PS for a long time and i never have issues like this with it. I would try again. Also a note I do not use any of PS phone answering features just the lock part.
