Does Sprint TEP cover cracked screens?

Ok I know, so dumb of me. I tossed my phone on my bed only to have it bounce back and fall face first into hardwood floor. Screen is spiderweb cracked in 8 ways but still works. I bought TEP for it, will they cover cracked screens?

Re: Does Sprint TEP cover cracked screens?

Yes however you will have to pay the deductable. I think its about 50 bucks but better than 400. And just a reminder that TEP clearly states that you will be supplied with a refurbished unit. It sucks but IMO refubished is just as good as new, not to mention way better than having a TP2 with a cracked screen. Hope this helps.

I think that would be covered through Asurion, highly unlikely Sprint will do anything.

Physical damage is covered under Asurion. You will need to pay the $100 deductible.

Re: Does Sprint TEP cover cracked screens?

I've taken a few phones with cracked screens into multiple Sprint stores over the years, and they've ordered replacements no problem, and no fee. I didn't demand special service or anything, just walked in, and they helped me right out. I assumed it was part of my plan. Try your luck

Re: Does Sprint TEP cover cracked screens?

Go into a repair center first! TEP covers you from all angles. Sometimes you can get the repair centers to repair it in store, no replacement. If they can't they will either tell you to call asurion, or they will order a replacement.

i agree. i was a technician for sprint for a little while, and, if i had the part in the store, i would always fix the customers phone on the spot. on the other hand, if a phone was "physically damaged" i was supposed to tell the customer to place a claim through asurion, but, like i said, if the part was there i would fix it. so try your luck at a repair center first.
