i agree. i was a technician for sprint for a little while, and, if i had the part in the store, i would always fix the customers phone on the spot. on the other hand, if a phone was "physically damaged" i was
supposed to tell the customer to place a claim through asurion, but, like i said, if the part was there i would fix it. so try your luck at a repair center first.
