Best way to add city to weather

I have used this technique and it works well even on new cooked MM rom

found this Post On XDA a while back not taking any credit just passing info that works.

1.Download and instal total commander http://ghisler.fileburst.com/ce/tcmdpocketarm.cab
, also instal net framework 3.5
2.once installed open TC up and look in the phones windows directroy for this file 2330fc3c_manila

3. when you find it using TC copy it to the stoagr card on your phone

a box will come up and the location wiil be \\windows**, to save it stoagecard change the location to \Storage card and then click copy

4. still in TC go to the storage card and find the file , open the file details in TC its the right hand side button on the top row of commands, and uncheck the read only box

5.now using TC copy this file back to its original windows directory on the phone.

6. download the weather location app and install on the phone version 1.20 is needed
http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...0&d=1223638121

using this you can now add towns and cities

example nam|us|wv|charleston

once you have added a new town etc you need to do a soft reset for to be able to use it

US|nam|your state abbr.|your city

once you have added a new town etc you need to do a soft reset for to be able to use it

instead of doing all that, why not just install conflipper's US cities?

Re: Best way to add city to weather

If your using conflippers cabs, they take a while to load. There are a lot of cities added to the file and your phone takes a long time to load and to search for the city when your type in the cities name.
