Re: sprint touch pro 2 tethering hhhhheeeeelllllppppppp
(FOR SPRINT TP2 USERS using Vista)
1.)All you need to do is install the 3 programs on your phone (in order) that ACHILLIES has posted: Attache Files in this order: HTC_CM_Killer.cab (154.6 KB, 84 views) Internet Sharing FIX.cab (3.9 KB, 89 views) HTCUSBToPCPopUp_2_0_18172128_1.cab (101.7 KB, 55 views) Once you install these programs do a soft reset (turn off your phone and turn it back on) 2.) Start the internet sharing program on your phone 3.) Select Sprint under type of connection 4.) Connect to the Laptop/PC via USB 5.) Hit Connect In the Internet Sharing application. WAH LAH…you should be connected to the internet! If this doesn't work maybe you have tried other ways and FUBARed your phone...in this case do a HARD reset (resets your phone back to factory settings) and follow these steps again! Thanks to ACHILLIES or whoever posted this first, I am not sure who to thank!?…your advice rocks! And it was that simple! Well atleast it was simple for a noob like me! Wondering if this is still working? Do you need to delete anything first or just install the cabs 1, 2, 3 ? Does this work with usb only? No registry edits needed with this method - IS THAT CORRECT? Also have you tried it using bt? update: decided to go for it and yahoo it works! NO registry edits, bt still does not work. (BTW, tethered to win 7 64 bit) Thanks! Re: sprint touch pro 2 tethering hhhhheeeeelllllppppppp
Has anyone able to connect bluetooth PAN or ICS with bluetooth instead of USB. If you install the .cab it deletes the bluetooth option. I need to use it with bluetooth PAN (instead of USB). I am thinking to install the wmwifirouter but the version 1.35 give me an error message. I have been using bluetooth PAN with no problem in MAC OS X and others PCs on my prior Sprint TP1 or Touch. I appreciate your help. Thanks.

Re: sprint touch pro 2 tethering hhhhheeeeelllllppppppp
I also found that the bt PAN option was removed but if you go to your bt connection (settings, communication, bluetooth) and under your devices (middle tab) bt networking may be available. It is for me. Make sure you are paired with your laptop, then it may work. I had to try several times but lately it is ok.

Re: sprint touch pro 2 tethering hhhhheeeeelllllppppppp
The best fix is at this site. Search for Tethering.zip and install. I fought this for a month on both of my TP2 Sprint phones.
I have not posted enough times to include the link but add the http stuff to the beginning of this: forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=424464 |
