Re: Enable or Disable Rev. A (in EPST)?

I've been using Internet Explorer to run the tests - I think that speedtest.net site is a lot more accurate as opposed to mobilespeedtest.com.

I've been clearing out my cache prior to running the tests, and it's kind of strange - I seem to get higher ping times (I've adjusted the settings to reflect San Diego as the server I'm opting to test for) with Rev. A set to Disable, but higher rates (70kb/s or so) whereas with Rev. A set to Enable I seem to be getting lower ping times but slower rates around 57kb/s or so.

Perhaps I should go outside of my work building for a more effective signal!

Interesting...
I was running the tests on my pc using usb tether.

I guess you usually do see fast times on the phone itself. I should try that. Yeah stonger signal should give you fast times..well least that seems like a logical thing.

Is this just for sprint or does it affect the verizon rev.a too?

How are you folks getting speedtest.net on your tp2 via PIE? I don't see any mobile test or any test for that matter.

EDIT: is it the 'mini' speedtest.net that you're using?

Well, on that weird applet that shows up, there's a 'Begin Testing' that eventually shows up that I clicked on.

Right now, I have Rev. a set to 'Enable', so when I go outside shortly, I'll run a test again from there.

Just to clear things up for some of the newbs testing this out on Verizon, on the dialer press ##778 Talk and then look under Modem Settings for this option.

Yeah, I meant to add the words "on Verizon" and completely forgot. Thanks for catching that. I fixed the above post.
