Plugging in 3.5mm headphones randomly calls my last contact

i've been bringing my phone to the gym and listening to music and i've noticed after i plug the headphones into the 3.5mm jack it'll randomly at times call the last number dialed/call i received. i have to end up turning the Phone feature off (Airplane Mode on basically) to avoid embarrassing calls.

I even have Voice Command off.

Re: Plugging in 3.5mm headphones randomly calls my last contact

I had a different problem after listening to music with the 3.5mm headphone. My phone's speaker and earpiece got no sound at all. I need to reset the phone 2x to make it works. I use bluetooth headphone for now.

I have had this happen to me but Voice Command was turned on. Are you sure you have it completely disabled?

Re: Plugging in 3.5mm headphones randomly calls my last contact

This isn't good. I will be using mine for the gym as well and was kinda excited about having not to use an adaptor anymore for my sony headset. Can the USB port be used still with an adapter, and will it do the same thing? I might go that route instead.

Thumbs down Re: Plugging in 3.5mm headphones randomly calls my last contact

Wow...what a oversight HTC made on this. Fortunately I don't use my 3.5mm jack. But I just tested it and it's messed up. It will randomly engage Voice Command. I can't hear anything in WMP. And when I unplug it there is no sound in the phone anymore.

WOW....way to go HTC!

Re: Plugging in 3.5mm headphones randomly calls my last contact

I've had it happen twice, but it doesn't usually happen and I haven't changed anything. It's been rare, but I haven noticed MSV did activate when it happened.

Re: Plugging in 3.5mm headphones randomly calls my last contact

I just want to bring this subject up, I plug my headset when I use skype daily, as soon as I start talking the freaking Voice command pops up and calls the last number, its so annoying, I have to call a non existent number last to avoid the embarrassment, I removed the shortcut from the startup, killed the process in memmaid, unchecked everything in the voice command and still pops up, I wish there was a way to remove it permanently.
