Re: EVDO/GSM While ActiveSync'd
Did you check the box in activesync to allow mms and internet while connected when you synced for the first time. If not unplug phone, delete profile, and resync

Re: EVDO/GSM While ActiveSync'd
I had the same issue in the past with my Touch Pro and Windows XP 32-bit.
I disabled the Enable faster data synchronization under Settings > USB to PC and I was able to browse again. Not sure if it was a fluke or if it actually helped. |

Re: EVDO/GSM While ActiveSync'd
So, I tried every iteration listed above (disable faster connection, enable/disable advanced features, delete-re-add, change from work/internet/auto in activesync) and still no luck... Am I missing something here?
P.S. - Disabling fast access removes the windows mobile network connection from my network places in XP, and seems to use a "serial" type connection through USB as "COM1" is faded out in activesync... I was able to get this to work on my Samsung SCH i760 running Windows Mobile 6.1, I just can't remember what I did differently. |

Re: EVDO/GSM While ActiveSync'd
O.K. I think I may have fixed mine, steps:
1 .) When adding your device profile to ActiveSync check the box to allow advanced network / internet calling. 2 .) Uncheck the box in ActiveSync (File, Settings) that says "Allow Connections to One of the Following" "COM1" 3 .) On the device, go into settings, connections, usb/pc connection settings, ensure ActiveSync AND Enable faster data synchronization are selected. 4 .) On the device, go into settings, connections, connections, manage existing connections, Advanced, select networks, and ensure that "Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using: "<network provider, for me "Verizon Wireless"> "Programs that automatically connect to a private network should connect using: "My Work NetworK" This worked for me on EVERYTHING EXCEPT OPERA ![]() P.S. - If you're unable to deselect the checkbox in ActiveSync settings to not use COM1, disable faster speed in phone usb/pc settings, delete phone profile, re-add, and uncheck, then disconnect re-enable fast speed, and re-enable profile.. I know it sounds weird but it's what I had to do. Let me know if this works! Last edited by arlindemini; 10-27-2009 at 03:33 PM. |
