Mobile Shell 3.5 Unstable on Stock Sprint TP2? - Page 2

Try one more hard reset and then set up your cabs one by one. If you were using them all before with the TP1, you may have some specific TP1 tweaks / registry settings in there that don't play well with the TP2.

Just walk through the SASHIMI Auto Cabs and Regs using an explorer, and install them manually. Try installing MS 3.5 first, then one cab at a time until you can find the one that's not playing nice.

Once you've found it, take it out of the SASHIMI folder for now. Chances are you're gonna be flashing the TP2 soon enough and want SASHIMI up and running reliably once again

I started buying MobileShell at v1.somthing. I used MS3.5 for a minute. I do like it...it's a nice change from the WinMo UI standard...but i always find myslef back to plain-jane WinMo. Haven't really firgured out why, either. I get bored with UIs easily....even on my PCs...

runs fine and fast. enable hardware accelration too. . but you want to make suretf3d is off

You said you can click the individual icons on your taskbar and your volume control has changed; this is probably from installing a custom taskbar. You may want to wait to install it last, and if you still have that problem, try another taskbar.

Thanks for all the feedback, i have done another hard reset this morning and will go one by one, the first cab I install is the TouchPro 2 Cleanup cab, http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=88640, does anyone else with MS 3.5 have this installed? Wondering if some of these tweaks is whats causing my problems and not cabs i install.

I have none of the clean up cabs installed. You do need to install the .net3.5 as the TP2 does not have it already.

Ok well all I did was install the cleanup cab, ms 3.5 cab and restored contacts and other pim data from SPB Backup from my TP1. I need .net 3.5 for MS 3.5? maybe thats my problem? Still froze, after making a call from the shell, after the call was over the Shell was frozen although all other functions start menu, opening other apps, etc worked.

definately put the netcf 3.5
I think this was a stupid move not including it. And it that does not solve your issues then try without the clean up cabs, cuz I am telling you this has been running flawless for me since around sept 20. Never reset my phone unless I install something that requires it. And have not installed anything in over a week.
