Tellme Installer!!! (extracted from Samsung Intrepid)
 

So I was the sprint store last night checking out the HERO, right next to it was the Samsung Intrepid it had the TellMe app on there so copied the install.exe file on to my tp2 to see if it would install. I can get it to install but the app wount launch. anyone wanna give it ago to see if they can get it working?

*update*

I guess to get it working you need to have netcf 3.5 installed to make it work.
some are saying touch works, some are saying it doesn. I guess its hit or miss.

Ok alittle further into this, i see it does not respond to the touch screen. I can deal with it for now, but i hope a fix comes out soon

Aside from the touchscreen prob, this is the nexT thinG since sliced bread for the wm phones............speech to text................ Dont worry about getting a ticket in maryland...lol

hmm still can't get it to work.. i have netcf 3.7 installed i resintalled tell me still nothing :(

okay when i tried to install NetCF3.5, it told me I have a newer version already installed and cancelled the installation. Launching TellMe, it hangs at the "Starting Tellme for the first time..." screen with the little spinning orange/grey thing and it never progresses past 0%. THen it says "there was a problem starting Tellme. Try again later."

Just used it to text and call! This is a sweet app! Only thing is as describe b4 the touch doesn't work well! To send the text I had to hit edit..then send bc the touch wouldn't recognize. But hey I can deal with that. btw...I have netcf3.5!

i have a 6.5 rom installed that already has net3.7.. can't downgrade :( it installs fine just wont run.

i had to copy to and run from device...not storage card. then it installed fine.

installed from storage card... works great, even touch screen :)
i have an imagio, not a tp2 however.

I did see the TellME app was supposed to be for 6.5 and available to all carriers for free.
Your profile says Sprint TP2?/ how are you running 6.5 ROM ?

okay this is obviously YMMV...maybe it only works if you have NetCF 3.5

I'm running it on a stock 6.1 Sprint TP2 with net 3.5. No touch screen, but everything else seems to work.

installed on Sprint TP2 , cant use touch controls but also when i speak, it says, "thinking" and then defaults to " say call or text and then a name " , and never does anything else.
Does anyone have this issue? running 6.1 currently, so wondering if that is the issue. Or does anyone know if it works on certain "contacts" application?

EDIT: Make sure you have current voice command disabled if you are using it, otherwise it will not recognize commands. Also wondering if touch controls do not work as it was designed for WM 6.5 from what I have read

Right now, on AT&T, T-Mobile & Verizon it's only available on Blackberry devices! And on Sprint, it's all Blackberry except for one WM device - the Intrepid!

Thanks for the correction. :) Just realized this after trying to get a copy myself...

Very intriguing app however. Someone I know has a Samsung dumbphone with an amazingly accurate voice activation system (ie: "send text message"...) Not surprised to see this on a Samsung WM phone.

Wow, this is actually really cool. The speech-to-text is pretty accurate, and I like being able to dictate texts.

I think in some ways its too good, it seems very sensitive to background voices.
