Re: Tellme Installer!!! (extracted from Samsung Intrepid)

I am running MightyRom6.5 on my Diamond. Can anyone help me get this working? TellMe stops at 72% and netCF tells me Installation Error; Stop all applications and processes, maximize storage space and run installation again (Support info:3)???
Any help kindly appreciated.

I have read all of the posts, and played with the program incessantly. The error at 72% is almost certainly a network issue, make sure you phone isn't being disconnected. As for the the netCF issue I believe this is the standard error if you already have .net 3.5 or higher installed. I could be wrong but this seems fairly certain in my book. (If that means anything.)

Personally my issue is it installs fine, and then when you click the program to load it the screen flashes for a second and then nothing happens, no error, no splash screen, just a tiny screen blip where it seems it might load, and then nothing at all.

Re: Tellme Installer!!! (extracted from Samsung Intrepid)

Hangs on my 23069 build but worked on the 28000 build I'm using. Could be an incompatibility with 6.5.x? Works for 6.5, just not 6.5.1 yet?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Tellme\Platfo rm - Then change the 'Settings' D-Word value to 7 then save changes, wait 20 seconds, then soft reset.

Let me know if it works for all or not
I know this shouldn't have caused this, but I did the suggested RegEdit, then waited 20 seconds and soft-reset. When my device came back up, I had the "black screen of death", with that horrifying wording "Press the Volume Up key to hard reset your device"!!!!

Had to restore from my backup from the day before. Just a friendly reminder to everyone - BACK UP before you perform RegEdits! I lost all of Monday's data, since my backup was as of 2am Monday morning... that's my own fault.

Oh, and I sent two text messages using my previously suggested idea, and it did not work (below is what I am referring to). That is what brought me to try the RegEdit. And the edit might actually work, but I'm not trying it again!

This worked for me to change the setting for "use current location", so in principle, it should work for the "Sent with Tellme" setting:
Open Tellme
Tap on Options > Settings
Using your hardware keyboard, arrow down to the "Sent with Tellme" checkbox, then hit the keyboard once.
Tap Done
If it was "checked" before, it should now be "un-checked".

And to answer someone else's question about the orange box, no, it does not fill in or change color using the method described above. There is no visual confirmation of anything changing - you just need to give it a whirl and test it!

I know it worked for the "use current location" setting!

Re: Tellme Installer!!! (extracted from Samsung Intrepid)

Worked just fine on my Diamond running MightyRom4. Touchscreen doesn't work but softkeys do work just like everyone has mentioned. So far it's not as fantastic as I had hoped but it's definitely not bad either. Once we get a version designed for our phones, the touchscreen part should work fine and we should see some improvements. Great start though

Re: Tellme Installer!!! (extracted from Samsung Intrepid)

Hey guys, used fiddler to trace the HTTP request used in the installer, and managed to fetch the cab file from tellme servers. Attached

The problem is, i installed it, and i have the tellme icon on the start menu, but when i tap it, nothing happens. Any registry hacks needed? Thanks

Same here on Mighty 6.5.
