The HardSPL is free but the SIM unlocker is done by a pay service. For those of us who donated, our transaction ID # gets the SIM unlocker.
They are somehow connected.

Well see that's the reason why I'm trying to verify this for sprint tp2s. If it's the radio, what purpose would the SIM Unlocker have since sprint is already "unlocked" and TMobile and Verizon can easily be unlocked by calling into their respective carriers (for free).

I will say this they should just release the HSPL now.. us sprint people can wait its not that critical to have the sim unlocked right now.. right now the community has spoken they want the HSPL now so give it to them. People "donated" to get this done.. so by all means release it.

I have both Tmo and Sprint, only way Id want to use my Tmobile SIM is if I can have both on at the same time. Rendering my N96 pointless

Ya I would assume that 90% of us just are interested in the HSPL.


We are waiting on their license server to be working correctly which the HSPL unlocker requires even though the license is free.

Additionally the SIM unlocker is being finished.


I also believe there are a select few that are currently sort of beta testing the unlockers.

But Sprint is already SIM unlocked and Verizon just takes one phone call... why would anyone pay for it?
