Sprint's own sim card won't work stateside in areas where there is no CDMA but there is GSM. Perhaps that is a phenomena the unlock will correct, or perhaps there is something else disabled or not included on the US GSM frequencies at a different level (firmware or hardware?) on the primary CDMA models with GSM.

Everyone will need the HSPL Unlocker. This will allow you to flash different custom ROMs that the Chefs create for us.

If you are a Sprint user and you want the ability to use an AT&T or a T_Mobile SIM Card, then you will need the SIM Unlocker. Verizon users can just call Verizon and ask to have it unlocked.

People *voluntarily* donated so the elite team can get a device to begin testing on. People knew when they donated that nothing was guaranteed. It was never even promised that unlocking the TP2 was possible. AGAIN, people donated for a device for the elite team to test! Well since 4-5 people agreed after my post, we will all go hide from you.....And you cant charge for a HSPL, that would be illegal and PPC wouldn't put there site in that type of bind. So you would have to donate Sir, to properly pay these people for there time. Just so a Mod doesn't close the thread..."we are talking, not arguing" ..We are happy people.

Well see, this is the confusing issue. First off, sprint phones do not need to unlock their SIM, they are already verified as unlocked internationally. But Sprint phones ARE some how locked from connecting to US GSM networks. So I was just wondering if in fact the "SIM Unlocker" would unlock US GSM networks. As for other CDMA phones, I am aware that TMobile and Verizon phones are locked, but once unlocked, they do connect to US GSMs.

Anyway, I know this is confusing but basically, someone should just ask them "Since the Sprint Touch Pro 2 is already SIM Unlocked. Will the SIM unlocker, unlock the ability for Sprint Touch Pro 2's to connect to US GSM carriers?"

Old news about the hspl....It has been done for days now along with the news of them waiting for the licensing server which had been posted here all day long...............

Although, first time I heard about a Monday release......Oh well, I can shut my computer down now and give it a rest for a while........
