Did my TP2 croak?

So, I am on a vacation in Mexico, using wifi on my TP2 to make Skype calls (huuge delay, but hey, almost free calls)

I forgot to charge the phone, and I do not have a wall charger with me, just a USB cable. I plugged the cable into my phone and netbook, and I get orange light. I cannot turn it on tho. It will turn on like 15 minutes after it's plugged in, but will turn itself off when Windows Mobile screen comes up.

Any tips? Suggestions? Prepare a shallow grave for it?

I'd say the battery is just dead... your netbook prolly doesn't put out enough juice.

So if I dig up a decent wall USB charger to give it a jump start, it will be ok?

I can't say for sure, but yeah, maybe you can find one for a moto RAZR? Pretty popular phone/charger.

Try taking the battery out or softreset it, Maybe your phone crashed and the screen don't want to turn on. I remember this happened to my TP once, The battery was critically low so I charged it and noticed the screen didn't want to turn on...I thought the phone broke but after pressing the softreset button it worked.

Tried that, no cigar. It does turn on, like 15 minutes after being plugged in, by itself, goes to few screens and turns off. It may go to Touch Pro2, Sprint or Windows screen. Once got to TF3D but turned off after

I would say leave it on the USB for like maybe 1 hr. If it doesn't work, that wouldn't be a good sign. Depending on how long you are there can you get a charger shipped to you. Maybe from Telus? I could be totally wrong, but If you are there for a few days I would find one and get it shipped quick.

try different usb ports, some usb ports are low power and some are high power, you need high power. Usly the ones that are in back are high power, side ones are not all the time(it justs depends on the comp.

It needs 30mins of good charge to stay on, otherwise it resets itself.

Your netbook will not have very much power to charge it quickly. Best to use the wall charger, if you have it. You phone shouldnt be dead, just really drained of power. I just left mine charging as much as I could when I was there. It drainied really fast using wifi, roaming, skype etc.
