Re: getting so anxious

i have never flashed a rom, but i am patiently waiting to test the waters of the tp2. i've got an itch but maybe not as bad as some people who are addicted. however i do about the same stuff with my laptop, it is a guinea pig for new os's. i live to tweak things. this is the first smartphone i have had so it is definitely going to get the full treatment. can't wait for hspl magic. until then its back to formatting the laptop and learning how to customize wm

Re: getting so anxious

UGGGGhhhh... i've been going through FRW (Flashing ROM Withdrawl) so bad that I pulled out my two Apaches and cooked up new ROMs and go through my OEMs and pretend It was my TP2.

Last night my wife had to rock me to sleep as I was quietly crying and mumbling about wanting to flash my TP2. This morning she said she wanted to take me to a family "breakfast" at my brother's. Only when I got there it turned out to be an intervention.

I'm better now I think, but I just have to say thanks to ecker for starting this support group.

"Hi... My name is Drew and I'm an addict."

Re: getting so anxious

Well, I flashed back to stock...... theres not too many stable roms out there.... the one I was on was bug free but the battery life was less...

my experience with 6.5 roms on the gsm tp2 is even if ya find a good one, the battery seems like 25% less.....

now being as 6.5 dont do a thing more than 6.1 but eye candy, And battery life is my favorite thing about this phone next to the screen, i had to flash back.......

patience all, ya not missing much......... tp2 stock rom is fantastic..........

Edit: Ok so I actually am on a official 6.5 rom, its awesome, No bugs or hickups, very smooth n fast, no old 6.1 style at all, Weather on the home tab with animation and so far other unlike the old 6.5 rom I was one, this ones battery life is wonderful, maybe its the being Official thats makes it good..........

I atleast hope yall get official soon or the hspl, Although it dont do anything 6.1 cant, maybe its being on a official 6.5 rom, but this things smooth........

Re: getting so anxious

Sorry to sound a little harsh, but the Elite Team members have largely gone MIA or ignore questions about a HSPL altogether now. Admins of the board might have to start asking questions, because they seem to have gone into radio silence without explanation with some pretty hefty donations. When money is involved, people tend to get a bit edgy when they stop getting updates.

Just my observation. It's not a threat to anyone, I was merely stating the problem and a possible catalyst to get response.

But personally, I f***ing hate being stonewalled and I tend to over-react on those who do it to me. Good thing I haven't donated or else I might have made enemies.

It's pretty good except for some glaring functionality bugs and the turtle-like responsiveness.

Re: getting so anxious

The reason I think its taking long is because of our radios being different, We have GSM/CDMA dual radios. If the radio was CDMA only we would have the unlocker already.

WOW, you definitely don't have to worry about putting a damper on anything. People have had custom roms on the tp1 for months, but none on this bad boy yet. I didn't upgrade to go back in time. you want to know whats so good, whats going to be so good is we won't have to run 6.1 anymore. that OS is so outdated and is whack. tf3d is not working as a patch anymore. you're right, the hardware is really the same which is why on my tp1 i run a 23064 rom. That sys is amazing. running 6.1 again is making wonder why i bought this phone. once the hspl is out, then people will be able to take this toy for the test drive it was meant to have.
