Re: Goodbye my TP2 Friends!

I have to wonder what causes these "freeze ups". spb mobile shell was the only thing to make my phone act up. But anyways, good luck with your new toy.

Re: Goodbye my TP2 Friends!

Did you see this........Seems that the HTC Hero has been shipped with an error that shows that the device cannot connect to EV-DO Rev. A. This is an error that HTC will be addressing soon with an update.

Re: Goodbye my TP2 Friends!

I came from the 800w (my first WM phone), and thought soft resets were just a part of life. I mean, at least once or twice a day I was soft resetting that damn phone...and I had nothing installed on it...completely stock.

This thread got me thinking...I've not had a freeze up the entire time I've owned this phone (1 month running)! To be honest, I've used this forum alot to trick my phone out. I bet I have 10 to 15 things installed to make this phone look awesome...still no lock ups or freezes.

I almost hate to post this for fear of jinxing this very stable device!

**On a side note, the wife is ordering the Hero on Thursday so it will arrive before the weekend** Looks like I'll have to learn a little about Android so I can walk her through it.

9 years with Sprint, and we finally have awesome phones! Gotta love the direction Sprint is headed...

I had to comment on this^... I agree 100%. I have been with Sprint for 11 years, through all the crappy service and mediocre phones. They finally have a phone selection (with more to come) that basically beats out the other big US carriers. HTC/Android/Touch screen phones are going to really help their numbers. My only gripe is their inconsistent customer service. While it IS better than 5 or 10 years ago, I still deal with reps who don't know anything, and can hang up/call right back and get the problem solved. They could do a little better with long-term loyal customer pricing as well.

I read somewhere (I think it was on the Sprint community boards) that the phone is Rev. A capable but has a display bug that indicates Rev. 0. Can't find it though.

Re: Goodbye my TP2 Friends!

All this business about WinMo being so laggy compared to other phones has me a little confused. I own a Diamond, Pre, and an iPhone 3G, and my wife has a TP2. Every device I own lags at some point or another, not just WinMo. Have fun with your Hero anyways, I was a little bored with it myself. However, I'm sure I'll get one eventually so that I can complete my collection of phones with the various operating systems...

Re: Goodbye my TP2 Friends!

I played with one in the store and was not at all impressed. Seemed too slow, and I really need the keyboard. Yes it is a nice phone, and I would carry it as a second/toy, but not my main phone. Good luck
