Lock Unlock gripe

From what I have read, the S2U2 does not work too well with this device. It worked great with my Samsung Saga.

The TP2 slide to answer functionality is fair, but the hard buttons still appear to be enabled, allowing pocket answers. That is not a deal breaker, but is bothersome.

However, I can't find any way to turn off the autolock on this phone. I don't want to have to press "unlock" at the bottom of the screen and then "unlock" on the screen to unlock the phone.

Help?

S2U2 worked for me, the only drawback was that it seemed like it used more battery than pocket shield.

Not to be rude guys, but my post and subsuquent question clearly indicated that S2U2 was not an option and that I was looking for a way to disable the autolock functionality.

Re: Lock Unlock gripe

Yup. Forget S2U2. Here's the best solution I've found (and I've searched high and low):

TouchLockPro + Keyboard Config =

The former can be Googled, and the latter (incredibly useful program) can be found here: http://www.lilrico.com/Mighty/mightyromblog/?p=401 or at XDA.

This combination is the ONLY way I've found to effectively lock / unlock my device. And it's COMPLETELY customizable. It's also very memory efficient and reliable.

I won't detail my own configuration but in short, I used the keyboard config application to assign one of my hard keys to trigger TouchLockPro to unlock.

Read the manuals, then go play.

Re: Lock Unlock gripe

Trevor, have you looked into using the keyboard config program + the stock lock/unlock program? I'm trying to make it where if I long press the end key, the phone will lock, then turn the screen off.

Hmmm. Haven't tried that, but good idea!

Of course, if you could find an executable somewhere for the stock WinMo lock program, this would be a breeze. I don't think one exists (however, I haven't done any research). Anyone else? Let me know if you find out.

I do prefer TouchLockPro however, as it doesn't block your screen when the device wakes up like the stock screen lock does. You'll see a little white box appear on the top right (when locked) but that's it -- so the rest of your screen is viewable.

Re: Lock Unlock gripe

Ok, I've gotten a .exe to run. But how do I make the end key do multiple things, ie run an exe file and then power management turn off the screen all with just one long press?
