Yeah that's true. It must just be different carriers with different policies. I've been with Verizon since the early 90s. They still won't do anything for me.

Verizon also does not carry the TP2 in store. They only have them for order online. It would do me no good to try and do that with my stuff because they will have to order it whether it is a refurb or brand new.

yea. if theyre ordering it for you its gonna likely be a refurb. i just told them(and its funny, cuz im a flasher) people treat htc phones like shit as far as unlocking, flashing, overclocking, unsigned software and the like. i told them that this one was never unlocked , flashed or anything and didnt want to get in to a refurb cycle because of that reason. the teck just smiled and agreed with me. next thing i know, im walking out with a brand new one.

yup...... thats verizon. i was a customer for 5 years and they nickled and dimed me to death. never once did they help me out with anything. paid full price for everything. even after purchasing 2 brand new 6700 at full price they would not even credit me a 25$ extra charge on a bill that my phone did a update wich required it to connect online. they said i have to pay it even thou i was not aware the phone connects to their edvo for a update to the unit. I said..." terminate both lines please". That wasw the end of the overpriced rip off serviced. Now with Sprint and been loving it. they take care of their customers like royalty.

If your phone has been like that for months, it works fine, and it doesn't bother you to look at, I'd say don't really worry about it. BUT over time, you will gradually loose touch sensitivity of the screen

yep, banding is a big giant square, still going strong with not noticeable loss in functionality.

rainbow banding sux ...... tight jeans arent the main or only cause like few said cuz i dont wear tight jeans .. i do use phantom skinz screen protector .... this afternoon i seen this thread & decided to look, as i do whenever i see this thread pop back up & the phone looked fine .... this evening boom its there .... it happened on almost all my tp1s & both tp2s .. i dont mind not using a screen protector as i got the type of insurance if my screen screws up or gets a few gashes . ::BOOM:: a wack from a mini sledge handles that & i walk in & out of sprint with a replacement phone .. but i prefer not to play it like that .. whats a man to do ? rainbow banding makes a phone look sh!tty & while some deal with it idk if i can

It just something thats going to happen with these phones until they switch out the screens to higher quality or capacitive. I'm with you on the look of it. It's just annoying. I always take mine in and get a replacement.

I just recently noticed a rainbow patch appear on my screen after about 6 months of use. Quick call to Sprint and a replacements on the way. Now its time to load a Sprint ROM and relock it.

Mine just started doing this yesterday-had this problem on the touch pro 1, always a perfect square it seems, just like the picture.

Jeeez... I had this issue on my TP1..and I take very good care of my phone. Now my wonderful TP2 has this issue.

You can call up sprint and get a replacement instead of having to go to the store? I was dreading going to the store. I do have the insurance.
