I only got it because I was hoping we could rip the radio off of it & put it on our TP2, and potentially fix our stuck in 1x problem. I've since learned what I should of already known, and that's that we need hard SPL released first. I will say the screen on the Imagio compared to the TP2 is A LOT brighter.

Oh and BTW, I did not give up the TP2. I haven't even activated the Imagio and plan on returning it now that we have what we need off of it.
Haha! Thanks for your work!

i would imagine you could use these manila files to use a manila editor and extract what you want and then update your tp2. dont think you can copy these to your windows folder and expect to have 2.5.

Exactly. There are some .dll's that can't be overwritten because they are burned in to the ROM. Manila is more than just a bunch of picture files. There are many dependencies that require it to work properly, and until we get a hardspl, it isn't likely we are going to get very far. The main benefit to dumping the Imagio ROM is that the cookers can start picking it apart and use the files in their ROM's. When hardspl is released, they should have these ROM's ready to go. It's like all the ingredients are available, and the oven is available, we just need a power outlet so we can turn on the oven ha-ha.

I would love to have the Imagio's standard Weather app, that utilizes the internal GPS, rather than the TP2's one where you have a limited selection of cities only.

How difficult would it be to get the Imagio's standard Weather app working on a TP2??

its not possible right now. Wait untill we have custom roms and you will get both of those! Theres too many dependencies, it would require you to remove most htc apps and replace them, including registry.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was hoping it wouldn't be complicated, although I didn't really expect that would be the case!

I can't believe that the Weather app doesn't work this way in the TP2 - it has GPS, after all.

I'll continue to monitor things here and watch for the development of the custom roms (as well as learn just what those are all about, how to install, what the ramifications are, etc.!).
