Re: Problems texting to other carriers?
That is strange. Most of my contacts carry iPhones (all different versions), and I haven't had any issues sending text messages to them. I'm on Sprint, so it could be a carrier specific issue, howver I haven't seen anyone complain of this yet.
I'm going to assume you've already tried a hard reset and tested by sending text messages directly after the hard reset. I think the next step, if that didn't work, would be to go into a Verizon store and use one of their TP2's to send a message to one of your iPhone buddies. If that works, your phone is the problem and you can have them swap it out right there. Last edited by fuuup; 10-06-2009 at 02:37 PM. |

It's not a Verizon problem, my boss uses an iphone & I send him texts everyday from my VZ TP2

The issue above is probably due to some recent cleanup that sybase has been doing with their database. In order to fix the above issue, you will have to file an inter carrier sms ticket with a tier 2 tech. Call 800 922 0204 and choose option 3 followed by the sms option. Tell the rep you need them to file an inter carrier sms remedy ticket. Be prepared to give specific examples. Additionally, do not get off the phone without a ticket number. If it is not fixed within three days call back in and reference your ticket number. |
