I also have it set to the highest detail setting, so I'll have to give it a try with it toned down. Again, my assumption is that the hardware just isn't as good as the dedicated standalone unit that's not trying to do several other things at the same time like the phone. |

Re: Garmin Mobile XT Gps Lag
Turning the map detail down did help a great deal. It's still not right on as it was with the Touch Pro, but its alot better. I'll have to test with a longer drive to be sure. I'll let you guys know tomorrow.
However, so far turning the map detail down did reduce the lag. It's weird, b/c the touch pro which was nowhere near has smooth and fluid as the touch pro 2 had no problems with map detail on its default. |

Re: Garmin Mobile XT Gps Lag
Guys, there is a fix for this.
To prevent the lag for now, use GPSGate. I told everyone to use GPSGate on the TT7 and thats the temp fix for now. Check the TT7 thread. I dont have the TP2. |

Re: Garmin Mobile XT Gps Lag
I love these threads.
There is always somebody who has "absolutely no lag whatever" when every other identical device on the planet is showing some small lag........LOL ~John |

HUH?? I used iGO8 up in the mountains in colorado with no problem Labor Day weekend..... Didn't have service or anything. It took a min to connect but it worked. Same as tomtom and garmin they all worked without service.
