Re: How well does your zoom bar work?
Ah, thanks for mentioning the screen protector -- I go have the one that came with the phone installed. That might explain the extra pressure needed...

Re: How well does your zoom bar work?
I use the zoom bar so that a web page is zoomed in to the point where, e.g., one column of text completely fills the screen. (This is normally on, e.g., news web sites where it's way too small if you're zoomed all the way out, but double-tapping to zoom usually zooms in so far that you then have to scroll left and right.)

Re: How well does your zoom bar work?
I never use it, seems redundant on a touch screen device. IMO the space could have been used for many other more useful purposes;
-Track ball -D-pad -Extra .2" screen space (would have been 3.8" like the Touch HD). They should have put a scroll wheel on the side of the device for web page scrolling. |

Re: How well does your zoom bar work?
If you mean the type that would be on the bottom front of the device, many devices feature this and it doesn't ruin the look of the phone. Check out most BlackBerry devices, The HTC Magic, and the HTC Hero, they all look just fine. I would definitely prefer a scroll wheel flush with the side of the unit though, for example the HTC Tilt had a jog wheel on its left side.

Re: How well does your zoom bar work?
Mine works as advertised, but I wish it worked in more applications. Seems kind of a waste for what little it does work with. I prefer it over double tap simply because it is a more precise way of zooming once you get used to it.
