Re: How to get iGo8 run on TP2 with TTS enable and 2009 NA Maps (step by step guide)

well I kind of got stuck on this step
Step 6: Use any explore program on your phone to map iGO8.exe to start menu of your phone (hold and chose send to Start Menu as Shortcut)

I didn't know how to do that so thats why I did autorun. Anyone care to explain how to do step 6.

I have seen references to contact import in this thread, but I have found no reference in the manual posted here or any options for that function in the software menus.

Other than the one caveat previously mentioned that is dependent on the version of iGo8 you have found (PDA or PNA), I followed the instructions in the first post. My only suggestion to the OP would be to indicate which version (PDA/PNA) of the software he used for his setup.

The only difference I have found between the PDA and PNA versions is the auto-executable files in the 2577 file (PDA) that give you an executable icon when installed. With the PNA version, you have to create your own shortcut to the executable as mentioned in the original post. I guess that means the OP is using the PNA version.

I wonder if a person could just copy the autoexec files into a 2577 file to make a PNA version into a PDA version?....

Really wish that IGO8 worked with Bluetooth TMC receivers like this:

http://www.gns-gmbh.com/shop/xtc/pro...r-Charger.html

Or better yet the internal, non-functioning FM radio in the Sprint Touch Pro 2.

Re: How to get iGo8 run on TP2 with TTS enable and 2009 NA Maps (step by step guide)

Hi, long time lurker first time poster here. I have a working version of igo8 installed, but I'm wondering if there's anyway I can add a command to the shortcut to disable the screen shutoff. I have my screen set (default setting) to shut off after 1 min, which is rather obnoxious when using igo8. I used sprint nav for the 2 day trial and don't recall it shutting off, so I'm wondering if there's something I can do (either a shortcut command or something in the sys.txt file?) to keep my screen on. Any help much appreciated, thanks!

My screen doesn't shut off when I use iGO. Check in the settings to see if there is anything to override the screen shutting off.

thanks, i also found a way to fix it by adding the [power] section with appropriate settings (given by the provided sys.txt file) into my own sys.txt file.

Has anyone found a way to get iGO to read the phone contacts?

I already had this version installed. I applied your patches and skin but still get 640x480.
Does this only work if setup before program installation?
Is there a procedure for me to reinstall?

Thanks
