Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

Welcome back, GT2L I hope your vacation went well and your girlfriend has a safe trip home!

Have you figured out how to prevent incoming text messages from "waking" the screen? Incoming emails do not turn the screen on, just an audible alert followed by the blinking LED. I would like incoming text messages to behave the same way.

Too often I find my phone in my pocket or face down on a surface that can "push" the screen, and when the incoming text message wakes up the screen, well you know what happens...LOL.

Any way to prevent this?

Thank you.

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

I have been running the Sprint Stock 6.5 Rom with the following add ons: cleanup cab, t9 text correction, htc task manager, clock flip fix cab.

I've been running for awhile now and have experienced some issues:

1. Memory Leak. As others have stated, it starts off great after a soft reset with just under 50% used. After a while, it creeps up to 60-70% used, even with all programs closed and NOTHING running. No auto update for weather, stocks, email, nothing. Wonder if it's an issue where a program when kicked off allocates a set amount of memory for execution. Then once it's terminated, instead of the OS recognizing that memory as being freed up it still thinks it's being utilized. Perhaps a program not releasing the memory properly?

2. SMS date stamp. I just recently noticed I will get a text message and the time it says it was received is way off. It was 10pm when I received the message and the message said I received it at 3am the next day (5 hours ahead). Not sure if this is a common thing or not?

Thanks, I just wanted to point these out in case others were seeing them as well.

Just one or the other NOT BOTH. Clean up does a little more than tweaks. Tweaks can be installed at anytime apparently and clean up should only be installed after hard reset, but I would recommend a hard reset before installing either one just to avoid any question of conflicts.

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

ResProxy along with many other registry items in wm 6.5 have no effect in your tweaks.. on 6.1 i went from 50% memory to 32% memory by setting ResProxy in registry to "0".. for wm 6.5 still above 50% memory on boot with or without ResProxy at "0"

how about GLYPHCACHE, does it have any affect on wm 6.5?

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

Hi I would like to thank you like everyone else for your amazing work. I am fairly confident that I read the details correctly but apologize if I missed something. I have installed clean-up and was wondering if it includes the proper software that allows undetected teathering. If not could someone please post the link here? Thanks in advance!

Yes, you should be good to go. Earlier in the thread GT2L was adamant that tethering is stealth.

very adamant... even though in the old cleaned up MighyROM thread Mighty said that killing off CM and a few file/reg tweaks WHERE NOT enough, GT2L said they where...

so until someone uses over 5GB and comes and says otherwise im liable to believe him

The only rebuttal I would submit is that how can it be stealth if your Sprint bill stills shows a remarkably high data usage count which can't really be obtained easily just using the onboard browser on a 3.6 inch screen!

It almost means you have to be downloading something constantly & not using your phone for calls @.

The meter is still showing data usage, there is really not a differentiation between phone data usage or tethered data usage IMO.
Your bill just shows the data mileage accumulated.

One caveat is that I have never actually seen a bill which some1 has paid for the PAM option.
So maybe there, it is broken out as regular phone data usage & PAM data usage.

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

Thread search doesn't seem to be working properly, but - I think I have seen the stuck-on-phone-pad issue, but I wonder if I installed to card and not device? It isn't happening currently. What I do see is that the SYM key function on the hardware keyboard is shot. I don't get the popup symbol keyboard, and all I get is an underscore. This is with either cleanup or tweaks.

Otherwise - a great improvement. I'd be willing to edit or regedit something to fix this.

One other question - the nuebattery function - where are the guts from? When I've tried to install what I think is the right one for my phone (Sprint TP2 with stock Sprint 6.5 upgrade) - it has failed every time.
