Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup
Calling all Verizon users - post your issues... I suspect there are some.
For one, my taskbar and battery meter seems to be screwed up. Nowhere can I see the battery amount being displayed in percentage. Also, when I click on the battery icon in the taskbar it acts like I've pressed the close/task manager button. Related issue - is the tweaks supposed to disable the notification screen when you click on certain taskbar icons? It does for me. 1st post says disabled for 6.1 only. I think something is screwed up with the taskbar also since I tried several taskbar replacements and they all caused everything to crash and required a hard reset. But even with just the tweaks installed after a hard reset I still seem to be getting some issues. Also, any idea when ICS will be working for Verizon users? (1st post says enabled for Sprint only for now). We need to give G2TL some clues as to what Verizon users are having issues with... Thanks again GT2L for all your hard work... Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup
On the memory leak issue, I have not installed the fix and start after soft reboot at 51%: 86MB storage and 90MB Program free. An hour later, it is the same. If I hook it up to Activesync it goes to 53% and 86MB of Program free with Storage the same. After a while that creeps up to 54% and 85MB free... probably synching some mail etc. After a while it actually went back to 53% and 86MB.
Parenthetically, I never hard rebooted after installing 6.5. I did install the HTC task manager separately and this is how I am monitoring memory. Whatever, I am not having a problem with memory on the TP2 like I did with the Mogul.

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup
I have the same issue with battery and did post on it earlier. The battery life was really bad with battclock app which give me percentage of battery, memory and time. Which I miss now as I removed it and my battery life is better but still not as good without the tweak.
I think the Nuebattery app is causing the battery life issue and I can't uninstall it and can't run it as if I run it, I have to remove the battery to reset the device! ..Ramesh Quote:

Just like with a PC, it's good every so often to start with a clean slate to wipe out any junk that may be laying around in the registry, memory, etc. So similar to formating your hard drive and doing a clean re-install of Windows on a PC, then re-installing your applications, I think it makes sense to do the same with a phone. Start with a clean install of the stock Sprint 6.5 ROM, and then Hard Reset after 6.5 is up and running (keeps 6.5, but gets rid of any temp files etc), then install the latest Cleanup cab (probably released either tonight or tomorrow perhaps depending on the memory leak issue). That way your phone will be lean and fast, at which point you can start to add your other apps and tweaks back on top of it. At least from my perspective that's how I'd prefer to do it. It's a little more work but you'll likely have much better luck! |

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup
I had a question related to the HTC Task Manager, and the running programs it displays.
If I open Communications Manager for example, then press the Start button, click Today, then go into the HTC Task Manager from the header, you will notice that Communications Manager ISN'T listed under running applications. Neither is ActiveSync, which sporadically is running in the background also. However if you go into the regular windows Task Manager, you'll see ActiveSync and Communications Manager. Is there any reason why applications such as these NEVER show up in the HTC Task Mgr? I'm finding that if I want to make sure all running apps are killed I need to go into the standard Task Manager as HTC isn't finding everything. Thanks! |

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup
What exactly does the cleanup file do as opposed to the tweaks file? I ran the original 6.1 version tweak and it worked ok.

If however you don't want to Hard Reset, install just the Tweaks. You DON'T NEED BOTH, only install ONE OR THE OTHER depending on your needs. |

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup
I believe it uses the exception list in the registry to show items in the task manager.
