Is there a way to get the $349 price while still in-contract?

So I have called Sprint twice to ask about purchasing the TP2, and both times they have said it's $599 with a $75 discount. I ask about the $449 price with the $100 MIR, and keep hearing I'm not eligible for that until my contract is up (March 2010). I remember under Verizon, I was always able to get the new activation price on a phone as long as I was willing to re-up the contract at the same time (I'd be willing to do this with Sprint as well).

Anyone know if it's possible to talk them into giving me the $349 price while still in-contract, or is it set in stone and I'm SOL until next year? I finally had the chance to handle a TP2 in person and it's amazing...not sure I can wait that long!
