There is a 3rd one that can be easily tripped inside what I believe is a mic hole at the bottom of the phone in the back. From the break down photos I have seen it looks there may be more in side as well.

Re: Battery has a water damage detector!
Those damn "water detectors" can definitely go off without really getting wet.
I had a phone that happened to a few years ago. I don't even remember what phone it was, but it was just some cheapy flip phone or something like that. I took it into Verizon as it started refusing to ring & they told me it had "water damage" I'm like WTF, this phone has never even gotten damp (& I wasn't lying, I dropped one in a toilet once & I freely admitted that to them). They where adamanant, it was not under warranty. At that point, I threw the phone away & bought another off ebay for $20....... ~John |

Re: Battery has a water damage detector!
The 2 internal moisture strips (and possibly a 3rd in the 3.5mm jack)

Re: Battery has a water damage detector!
could someone kindly post a legible viewable photo that has spots labled? I have seen the one on the side of the phone but not the others in a good pic.

Re: Battery has a water damage detector!
In my opinion to put tiny one next to the 3.5mm jack is ridiculous. Can you imagine how many of those will change color especially if you live in a state with extremely an humid climate like Florida?
I wonder how many people would get declined for a warranty claim if the one inside the 3.5mm jack was the only water detector that was an issue? |

If you activate the sticker while applying a screen protector, you're doing it wrong. Also, it's MUCH easier to apply the 3M types (Zagg, PhantomSkinz, etc.) of the screen protectors with water, since they will slide around easily until dry. I'm also under the impression that it activates the adhesion. |
