Those damn "water detectors" can definitely go off without really getting wet.

I had a phone that happened to a few years ago. I don't even remember what phone it was, but it was just some cheapy flip phone or something like that. I took it into Verizon as it started refusing to ring & they told me it had "water damage"

I'm like WTF, this phone has never even gotten damp (& I wasn't lying, I dropped one in a toilet once & I freely admitted that to them). They where adamanant, it was not under warranty.

At that point, I threw the phone away & bought another off ebay for $20.......
