Re: Anyone else having this issue? (pic)
My plastic started to peel off at the bottom left and bottom right.
it got so bad that it was haning there and sticking out when the phone was slid shut. I did not think anything of it, and just cut the plastic with a razor blade where it was coming off. Most of it is still there, and no more peeling. Honestly, I never thought anything of it... Wear and tear is normal. I absolutely love my TP2! |

Re: Anyone else having this issue? (pic)
Mine Just came off this morning (plastic shipping tab piece). Started crinkled a couple days ago. Knew it could come off but I'm one of those guys that if the giant plastic Verizon 'remove before use' screen-protectory thing didn't have giant letters it would probably still be on. Still waiting for a good CDMA screen protector to come out so maybe when we finally see some good reviews around here....
Back on topic tho I'm just hoping that I don't get some of the rail/friction gouges on the keyboard part of this phone after months of use like my 6600, and 6700 I've just graduated from (no, not a bicycle Bundo |

Re: Anyone else having this issue? (pic)
Yeah, mine have bubbles, but I figured since the big sheet on the back of the screen has a nice big Sprint logo on it and is adhered with adhesive, It was supposed to stay on. Neither of my original TPs had any plastic between the two halves and both had issues with slide wear on the surface.
Like I said, Sprint even had a no questions asked phone replacement bulletin because the slider wore down the ribbon cable and eventually killed the device. I figured that HTC/Sprint/whoever else thought that putting something that caused less wear between the halves on the phone would be a good idea. I believe you guys, I'll take it off. But as it stands, the metal foot still chipped the paint on the outer plastic rim of the phone. As I'm down a camera for the day, I can't take a picture of the foot in the closed position to prove it rests directly on that spot. I guess I could just use an automotive clear-coat pen to put a safeguard there. |

Re: Anyone else having this issue? (pic)
I just wanted to add, mine are still on, bubble free, no peeling or scrunching. I can also see where it gets rubbed and can only imagine that this would cause wear to the device in time.
Mine will stay on for as long as they hang on. It does look very possible to replace them as well, with a cut piece of screenie. No problem. I see where some would WANT to take them off, they aren't necessary! However, they do add some little bit of protection that was not previously accounted for at all by the manufacturer. They definitely don't hurt anything or interfere with the sliding of my keyboard at all! That's all. My 2 cents to this ongoing, confused, debate.

You guys who leave the plastic on are maybe the same type of people that buy plastic couch covers?
I like keeping my things looking new as long as possible but life is too short to leave the thin little plastic thingies on. One thing I might suggest is when you close the phone instead of slapping it shut, use your thumbs as a shock absorber. I cringe every time I see people slamming their phones shut. |

Re: Anyone else having this issue? (pic)
yeah i took the plastic pieces on the keyboard and even went a step further and took the big piece of plastic on the other side of the screen. Who ever put mine on were drunk they were misaligned and hanging off. I have yet to see any imperfections on my kb like the op but that plastic just didnt sit right with me
