Yeah, mine have bubbles, but I figured since the big sheet on the back of the screen has a nice big Sprint logo on it and is adhered with adhesive, It was supposed to stay on. Neither of my original TPs had any plastic between the two halves and both had issues with slide wear on the surface.

Like I said, Sprint even had a no questions asked phone replacement bulletin because the slider wore down the ribbon cable and eventually killed the device. I figured that HTC/Sprint/whoever else thought that putting something that caused less wear between the halves on the phone would be a good idea.

I believe you guys, I'll take it off. But as it stands, the metal foot still chipped the paint on the outer plastic rim of the phone. As I'm down a camera for the day, I can't take a picture of the foot in the closed position to prove it rests directly on that spot.

I guess I could just use an automotive clear-coat pen to put a safeguard there.
