Me and my brother spent hours trying to figure out that stupid CM-Guardian/device manager.exe or what ever else we may be missing. My phone still keeps trying to connect me to sprint even through its been flashed and all the settings have been set, besides MMS. Any Ideas to what else may be causing this?

Btw. I found a authorized metro dealer that did the flash for me, just in case any body in the Tampa,Fl area needs it. 14815 Turner Road

here is an metropcs cab that sets up all of the internet connections and all you have to do the first time you connect to the internet is put in your username and password. everything else is preconfigured

yea, but that arscsoft blows, best one I use for metro on the diamond, touch pro, tp2, and imagio, is the 5.2.1.22

On hofo, we have a metro mafia set up cab with this arscsoft version built in.

use JD's ROM. he wiped out the CM guardian, but the other rom cookers didn't.

as far as the cm guardian, dot fred's task manager can handle it. download it, open it, on the top right arrow, go to services and find CM_GUARDIAN (it might have some numbers and stuff added to it) u right click (tap/hold) and terminate it, then u right click(tap/hold) again and click find in registry, and it will take u to it. delete that folder, then from the same folder ur in (inside the reg) after deleting it, go up to I belive its HKLM\SERVICES\HTC and u will find another cm guardian folder, delete all of it and then soft reset.

Hi all, first time poster on this site, anyways add another Touch Pro 2 to the list on MetroPCS network
Thanks to the writers of the how-to guide it helped very so much. I had some trouble doing several steps since it is not totally clear on what exactly to do. 'Unlocked' the original Sprint ESN/MSL(i bought a sprint TCP2 btw), wrote all zeros to it so it let me access phone configuration and reuped metros prl(i used 02003) and all the extra goodies. Was on metros network within the hour of unpacking the phone. Next day took to a 'semi-local' authorized dealer to get it flashed and with some luck, it turned out the person i talked to that flashed my phone also had a flashed TP2 on metropcs, so he knew whats up. Dont know the specifics on what he used to flash it, houdini or what(im totally new with all this flashing stuff).If it doesnt violate the TOS on this site and someone is interested I could post what metro store I got my phone flashed. Its in San Bernardino, CA.

My review of the phone(just over a weeks use with MetroPCS network):
-phone overall works wonderful, slow at times(hey its a pocketpc, who can ask for more, right?)
-would of been great if windows or htc could of added capability for a customizable,yet user friendly, screen rotation software.i know it does do rotate in some windows, but havent yet found something that could be configured by the user,at least not that i know of. i tried using Gyrator 2 but that also doesnt have many options to configure.
-metropcs network works as it should except it is very slow when browsing the internet let alone trying to watch a youtube video or anything streaming sort.i tried the youtubeapp.cab and installed just fine but when trying to view a video, never loads.(is there something i need to do to the app or on the phone?)
-any preloaded sprint apps dont work at all. i dont really care for any of them except for directions and maps, so if anyone knows of any good apps for that pass it this way.
-the Home 'tab',or whatever you want to call them, of the TouchFlo 3d(and any of the tabs for that matter) should be customizable and user defined. as far as i know i think you have to not use TouchFlo 3d to do that.i like touchflo 3d but i believe you should be able to add or remove/change functions within them.again if im wrong and you CAN customize touchflo 3d please let know.im blabimg about this because i cant find a way to key lock the freaken phone. the only way key lock is if i use gyrator 2 and use the stylus event to key lock automatically everytime i put back in the stylus. so as it is now, i can key lock it but i have to pull the dam stylus out and put it back in(very darn annoying when im not using the stylus at all). if you guys know of how to screen lock it easier way, please do tell. ive heard of slide2unlock but havent tried it and i hate to download app after app just to customize something that should be available from the start.
-i also get this message everytime it goes to data connection mode ie. i open opera browser:
first msg: Device Configuration
the network is preparing your service. please wait...

then this msg: The profile update could not be completed. Please try again later.If the problem persists, you may need to contact customer service.
error code 1012
internet works fine(slow but fine) just those messages pop up.


anyways if anyone read this whole post or if i mistakenly shouldnt have posted all this information here(not trying to thread hijack) and done a new thread for this, im sorry and if you can help out with any of the above i would gladly appreciate it. Thanks again all!!

Yes that is correct, with Freds task manager you can terminate and delete from the registry everything necessary to complete the guide.

My brothers the master computer tech so I just take his word for most things related. He told me to DELETE Dot Freds Task Manager because he ran it on his samsung Omnia and told me it was unstable. Dont know if that program is meant to run on our phone. Im slowly building a common knownledge of how all of this works. Thinking about trying it again. Any other suggestions would be well appreciated.

Okay I tried dot freds talk manager and went through the steps but I did not find any of the file names in the registry. Maybe they had already been deleted from last time. I restarted the phone and I still cant use the internet or mms. Tempted to throw the phone out the window.

hi, FINALLY ive got both of my tp2s in metroPCS but they are kind of boring.. i want to put Energy Rom on them, if i do that will i mess anything up?

I've been running the Manilla 2.5 EnergyROMs on and off, but I keep running into a bizarre problem where the Metro internet connect stops working in anything but Explorer mobile...which is unacceptable to me. To get out of it I have to flash either a stock ROM or MightyROM. I'm really unhappy about it as well, as I greatly prefer NRG's work. As I am not finding this problem posted elsewhere it may just be my phone.

The only thing you'll have to do is re-enter the connection information for the internet connection...alternatively you can use a MetroPCS cab.
