When you got new equipment, the old Asurion/TEC coverage *should* have fallen off and they should have asked you which insurance you wanted. This doesn't always happen and you might get lucky and keep your grandfathered in 4.99/5.99 plan with the $50 deductible.

Use TEP. If you say it had a crack out the box, they will ask you..."Why didnt you retunr it whan you got it 2 weeks ago?" Then your gonna look bad and a liar. #) day return window does not apply to a dropped phone. It only applies if it has no damage at all.

A little pricey but worth it to be free of wires. There are cheaper BT units with built-in headphones, but the wired break in a year. This setup lets you use any heaphones you want, replace them when broken, or hook it to your audio system.

Some stores will replace phones due to accidental damage, some won't. It all depends on which store/person you talk to. Sort of like some people that called telesales with verizon didn't have to send in the rebate form to get the $100 off and others did.

yeah the stores vary. i had an older lg flip phone, a nice one at that, and i full on dropped it in a red cup of beer while playing some beruit. i was hammered and pissed. went to the closest store i could find the next day and they told me it would be 200 for a new phone but they were out and sent me to another store 10 miles away. got there, told the guy exactly what happened, he laughed, said that sucks and gave me a new phone for free, the same exact one. this was after having the phone for a year too.

not sure if this would happen with the tp2, but you never know. i think i am gonna head to our local store today and get the tep. i am babying this thing, but still worried that something might happen

I think my friend broke his DARE and got it replaced for free if he signs up for the insurance. I think my biggest problem is that they don't have this is STOCK.
We shall see.

Asurion maintains stock separate from VZW. It is likely they will have a replacement for you. Then you can donate your broken phone to the Hard-SPL devs....
